Shakespeare couldn’t have written it better. Spider’s life to date seems to possess all the elements of a well-plotted romance: passion, struggle and, of course, forbidden love. It’s a classic tale with an unwritten ending, but a beginning rooted in the love for song.

Raised in a South Jersey family that went to Church several times a week, Spider attended a small private school and was not permitted to listen to music, go to the movies, read magazines or even watch television. Not even allowed to have a door to his room, he discovered popular music with a small handheld radio pressed up to his ear under a pillow – it was these songs that changed his world and shaped his sensibilities. Ironically, it is his sheltered upbringing with which he credits his vast knowledge of and appreciation for music.

Over the years, Spider has been a member of many bands as singer, guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist, programmer and engineer. In late 1999, his own 1plus1 project, Ozone’s first development effort, resulted in a recording contract with Elektra Entertainment. As a producer, this experience continues to prove valuable in enabling him to relate to artists, musicians and engineers, having sat in their chairs.
